Hélène Clément is one of the most distinguished violists of her generation and a passionate chamber musician. She has collaborated with renowned artists such as Elisabeth Leonskaja, Jonathan Biss, Mitsuko Uchida, Quatuor Ébène, and many others. A frequent guest at prestigious international festivals, she also serves as a professor of viola and chamber music at the Royal Academy of Music in London. Hélène has recorded works for viola by Britten and Bridge on Chandon Records, performed on an 1843 Italian viola previously owned by Benjamin Britten and Frank Bridge themselves. For 12 years, she was the violist of the acclaimed Doric String Quartet, where she explored the quartet repertoire from Haydn to contemporary composers, performed worldwide, and recorded an extensive range of works by composers such as Britten, Beethoven, and Mendelssohn.
