Described by The Times as “captivating” and “ethereally passionate,” British cellist Natalie Clein has built a distinguished career performing at prominent venues and with major orchestras worldwide. In 2021, she was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for her services to music. Several of her recordings have received awards including Diapason d’Or, Gramophone Editor’s Choice, and a Brit Award. 

She has worked with conductors such as Sir Mark Elder, Sir Roger Norrington, Leonard Slatkin, and Daniel Harding and frequently appears in recital with artists including Marianna Shirinyan, Cédric Pescia, and Anthony Marwood. 

Natalie Clein is Artistic Director of the Purbeck International Chamber Music Festival and Professor of Cello at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Rostock.
