Trio con Brio Copenhagen

Trio con Brio Copenhagen forms the artistic direction of the festival.

For the last 20 years, the trio has been an institution in Danish classical music life and consists of the sisters Soo-Jin Hong (violin) and Soo-Kyung Hong (cello) as well as pianist Jens Elvekjær (piano). They have won a great number of international competitions, and perform at concert halls and festivals all over the world. Furthermore Soo-Jin Hong and Soo-Kyung Hong are concertmasters of violin and cello at the Danish National Symphony Orchestra and Jens Elvekjær is professor at the Royal Danish Academy of Music. In 2019 Trio con Brio Copenhagen received Carl Nielsen and Anne Marie Carl Nielsen’s honorary award.
